This book was inspired by my desire to portray a tale of adventure in an African setting. A tale of courage, persistence and strength which is based on love for a community and motherland. Most of our experiences with such tales always comes in the Western context, but I wanted to bring in a different perspective showing the African angle. Magigo, the principal actor is a typical tribe’s man who goes about his normal day to day activities until he was saddled with the daunting responsibility of going on a journey which many have failed to return from in the past. I hope this would inspire as many as possible to stay on the road of passion and persistence in whatever they are engaged in and pursue it to a positive conclusion. It is common for many to get discouraged by the dunes that nature places on their paths. It is very easy to give up when things appear too difficult, but the lesson here is that they should never give up on their visions and goals. They should always fight for what’s right.
